Train: 

With the new Eurostar route from Waterloo travel by rail is easy with a direct train to Avignon with only 1 passenger stop, journey time is 5 hours.

Alternatively Avignon can reach from the north by TGV from Paris (journey time 2:40) and from the south via Marseille and the Côte d’Azur (Marseille journey time 35 minutes). Road transfer from Avignon 40 minutes

Air: 

Our closest main airport is Marseille (road transfer 1hr / 1.15hr). Flights from the London airports (Heathrow, Gatwick and Stanstead) are provided by BA, Easyjet and Ryanair, Bristol (Easyjet), Manchester (Easyjet and Ryanair), Scotland (Edinburgh and Glasgow – Ryanair), Dublin (Ryanair).

Flights from some UK regional airports fly to Avignon, Caumont dependant on the time of year (Flybe – Southampton, Birmingham, Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow). Ryanair and Air France also link other main European cities with Marseille. Alternative major airports close by are Nimes (1.20hr), Lyon (2.30hr), Montpellier (1.30hr) and Nice (3hr).
